More about me
I started performing at the age of three years, acting in dinner theater productions as well as commercials. One of my favorite childhoood memories is performing in "A Christmas Carol" for two seasons at Ford's Theater in Washington, D.C. As a member of the Young Columbians, I was given the opportunity to perform in a wonderful ensemble for multiple years. In high school, I continued performing in the winter musicals and consistently enrolled in acting classes. My appreciation for Shakespeare began to blossom at this time. During summertime, I would assume the role of a counselor at youth acting camps and provide private coaching to several students.
I began college by auditioning for the Musical Theater program. A competitive and successful endeavor, over one thousand students auditioned for fewer than twenty spots. In a program that emphasized the Stanislavski technique, I began to grow a fondness for straight plays (Ibsen, Chekhov, Martin McDonagh, David Rabe). And so, I decided to transfer from the MT program to the Theatre Studies field, in which I would eventually earn my Bachelor of Arts. Here, I was able to begin vocal instruction lessons with Mike Ruckles. I also studied with David Grapes, Tom McNally, Ken Womble, and dance with Monte Black.
Living in New York has been a beautiful struggle. I've found a wonderful studio (Matthew Corozine Studio) in which I can challenge myself and grow while learning to apply the Meisner technique. As of late, I have developed a fondness for the works of John Patrick Shanley.
